Hopism an initiative rooted in the Ideology of infrastructural and human capital development in His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma’s shared prosperity government is set to empower 3000 Imolites across the 27 local government areas of the state.
Evang Myke Ikoku, the Chief Convener of Hopism Movement made this known during a press conference held on 6th September, 2020 at Havana Hall, All Seasons Hotel, Owerri.
Speaking, Ikoku said that Hopism is where governance meets the people and a platform that provides young people with access to government opportunities, alleviating poverty and ultimately creating wealth.
To benefit from Hopism Empowerment Program, a person must be a firm believer in the shared prosperity government and also a registered member which is free via the official website www.hopism.org. There is also a physical registration in different LGA’s for people who are not internet compliant.
The empowerment program is slated to kick off from Ngor Okpala on the 12th of September owing to the fact that they are the local government with the highest number of registered members.
Further speaking, Ikoku stated that there will be a close follow up of all the activities of beneficiaries and persons who have shown greater commitment will be given financial empowerment for the second stage after 6 months.
Finally, Ikoku reiterated that Hopism Empowerment Program is self-sponsored by group of Imolites who believe in the Hopism movement and thus, do not have any political undertone.
