Resumption Of Schools For Exit Classes Not Yet Announced – Prof B T O Ikegwuoha

RESUMPTION OF SCHOOLS FOR EXIT CLASSES IN IMO STATE

Please the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency: Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma has not directed any school in Imo State to resume classes.

Please be advised that the Federal Ministry of Education only advised that every State Governor should determine the date for the resumption of exit classes for WAEC only if the state can ascertain that it has fulfilled all the laid down covid-19 protocols for the resumption and commencement of schools in their respective states as long as and in so far as the resumption date is not before August 4, 2020.

Consequently, all schools in Imo state for the exit (WAEC/WASCCE) classes remain closed until the expected Governor’s announcement.

NOTE:
As soon as the Governor has been assured that the modalities and conditions laid down by the Imo State Covid-19 Taskforce, World Health Organisation (WHO) and Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have been fulfilled, a date for the resumption and commencement of WAEC/WASCCE will be announced by the Governor. WAEC/WASCCE examination will commence on August 17, 2020; Imo State Government is irrevocably and unambiguously respectful of this date and it remains sacrosanct.

Be properly guided!

Prof B.T.O Ikegwuoha
Hon. Commissioner for
Education, Imo State
