#NigeriaAir: Man who bought the national carriers domain names may face lawsuit alleging cybersquatting (Photos)

Olumayowa Elegbede, the Nigerian man who quickly bought the domain names and put it up for sale at $66,489 (₦24 million each) may be facing a lawsuit alleging cybersquatting.

Cybercrime Act 2015 (Section 16) provides that Mayowa is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than 2 years or a fine of not more than N5,000,000.00 or to both fine and imprisonment for his actions.

Consequently, if Mayowa is living in Nigeria and therefore within the jurisdiction of Nigerian law, he might be guilty of a crime called Cybersquatting.
