Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) flagged off the construction of roads in Imo State University today 15th August, 2019.
The Representative of NDDC in Imo State, Engr Tony Okanne said that 2.2km of critical roads in the school will be reconstructed, assuring the school of quality works.
Speaking during the flag-off, Chief Isaac Nkwonu, MD Wesley Engineering Nigeria Limited assured the University that the project will stand the taste of time and completed within the shortest possible time.
Further Speaking, Engr V C Igiri the Deputy Director of works said this is the 4th time NDDC is coming to Imo State University to flag off a project.
“The first was 500KVA transformer, second was NDDC Hostel (For Male Students) while the third was opening a road leading to the hostel. All technical assistance needed for this ongoing project will be made available”, he concluded.
The Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, Prof Adaobi Obasi thanked the NDDC and assured them of safety throughout their stay in Imsu while looking forward to more partnerships with NDDC.
Prof B. E. B Nwoke, DVC Administration, Mr Kingsley Mbana, Bursar and other academias were also in attendance.
