EEDC reacts to Loss of Supply in Owerri and Its Environs

The management of Enugu Electricity Distribution Plc (EEDC) wishes to inform its esteemed customers in Imo State that the loss of supply currently being experienced in the state is as a result of a fault on Alaoji 330KV line which feeds our source- Egbu Transmission Substation, Owerri.

The Egbu TCN substation lost supply from Alaoji 330KV Line at 09:04pm of 14th August, 2019.

Consequently, our customers in the entire Orlu, Owerri, New Owerri and Mbaise districts in Imo State are presently out of supply as all the 33KV outgoing feeders radiating from Egbu TCN are without supply.

As we await restoration of supply by the TCN, we appeal for patience and understanding of our esteemed customers and assure them of our commitment to improved service delivery.

Emeka Ezeh
