Imo State: Ihedioha declares support for Tony Nwulu Ahead Of Guber Polls

Members of ‘Wealthy Brethren Association’ has expressed their unalloyed support for the UPP candidate, Hon. Tony Nwulu in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Imo state.

The group pledged their support to Nwulu when they paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in Owerri on Tuesday, 5th February, 2019.

Speaking during meeting, the leader of the group, Mr. Ihedioha Uzoma said they are committed to ensuring that Hon. Nwulu emerges as the winner of the guber election slated to hold on March 9th, adding that they are prepared to put in their personal funds and resources, as well as mobilize their followers in the entire local government areas of Imo state.

Earlier, the host, Hon. Tony Nwulu said that he will consolidate on the ‘Not Too Young To Run’ bill which he sponsored recently by ensuring that youths are placed in positions of authority when he becomes governor.

He charged members of the ‘Wealthy Brethren’ to remain focused and ensure that they deliver him in their respective wards.

Speaking further at the occasion, Nwulu said that the time has gone when old men decide the fate of the youths in Nigeria.

“I’ ve tried to create that space where young Nigerians will be at the table where issues concerning their future is being discussed. No more shall we have the old people decide our destinies after spending theirs.”

Tony Nwulu who hails from Ezinihitte – Mbaise, is presently the Honorable Member representing Oshodi / Isolo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

He distinguished himself creditably at the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly recently when he sponsored a bill – ‘Not Too Young To Run’- which compelled political parties in Nigeria to reduce the price of their nomination forms for elective positions and paved way for youths to participate actively in Nigerian politics.

Also present at the occasion is Nwulu’s running mate, Dr. Nnaemeka Obiaraeri among others.
