“What unites us is way bigger than what strives to divide us” – Hon Tony Nwulu speaks on National Unity

Hon. Tony Nwulu, Imo State Guber Aspirant under the United Progressive Party, UPP has called on Nigerians to continue to believe and remain hopeful in Nigeria.

In his message to celebrate Nigeria’s 58th independence anniversary,  the Imo State born  member representing Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency in the House of Representao remain one, stating “what unites us is way bigger than what strives to divide us”

The Full Statement reads:

“It’s an another independence day in our country. As much as we acknowledge that many things could’ve been better, let us not fail to believe and stay hopeful in the dream that is still Nigeria.

“We remain a people filled with faith and a country of great many possibilities. What unites us, is way bigger than what strives to divide us.

“Embracing our weaknesses as a people, and working on our strengths, is the hallmark of true nationalism.

“We must keep working together, to confront the challenges of our times. This challenges borders on corruption, gender inequality, Infant maternal mortality, health Infrastructures, education, job creation, transportation, electricity and etc.

“We must strive to do away with tribal , ethnic, and religious divisions for a true nationalistic Nigeria. Tolerance, love should be the watchword of the day.

“Let us remember the gallant men and women who fought and died for this country. Without their sacrifices, nowhere would’ve been safe enough for us.

“As the elections are approaching, refuse to be used to satisfy the whims of irate politicians.

“For what it’s worth,those of us alive to witness another Ist October are indeed blessed.

“As we remember everything wrong in Nigeria, let us not fail to take comfort in the good of the land. In the “greeness” of Nigeria . I choose to look forward to the silver lining, that will herald a new and better country , governed by honesty, truth and justice .

“The struggle for a better Nigeria must continue. We must find the courage to change and make difficult but necessary decisions and never forget the initial ideals which led our forefathers in our birth as a Nation.

“We live in a dynamic and changing world. We must never give up hope, that our country will someday be the front runner for true democracy.
