The Queens Diary: Adaimo Judith Orisaekeziem champions change for ‘Imo Girls’

The reigning Adaimo, Queen Judith Nzubechukwu Orisaekeziem is set to launch a campaign that will change the way girls from Imo State are seen globally.

The event which is tagged ‘THE QUEENS DIARY’ according to her will be a summit of all Imo Beauty Queens, both past, reigning and intending.

Judith who spoke in Owerri ahead of the event billed of Saturday October 20, 2018 said the aim of the event is to empower girls from Imo State with the mindset of a champion.

“It is not really a good thing when you go out as a young girl and say you are from Imo State, especially Owerri, people don’t take you seriously. They think every girl here belongs to the street and that is what we want to change”

“We want to show our girls how strong they can be, how much they can achieve for themselves and when that is done, we’ll have a breed of Imo damsels who don’t depend on men, but work out things for themselves”

“When this is achieved, it will be the kind of future our children will want to grow in and we also believe that empowering a girl is one good way to make the world a better place”, she said.

Speaking further, she revealed that the event which has the theme ‘we are more’, will feature presentations from The National Council For Women Societies (NCWS), Owerri and also mark a special homecoming for Imo State born Queen Anita Ukah, the 2018 Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria.

THE QUEENS DIARY will also features speeches and teachings from seasoned guest speakers like:
Makbere Marian, Author of the Crown Factor and Tourism Nigeria Queen 2012; Mrs. Uloma Nwosu (MD, The Reach Media); Pastor Ada Ezeka of the Rhema Church and Prrof. Edna Njoku, a versatile resource person of The Federal University Of Technology (FUT) Owerri, Imo State.

Her Excellency, Ugonneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha, will be the mother of the day while the event will also feature music, dance and comedy performances, alongside fashion shows from Sammiele Couture cum Spero Concept.

Venue is the : Life Oak Event Center, behind Imo Trade and Investment Center, through ISOPADEC Road, New Owerri, while accreditation of participants begins by 10:00am with the main event expected to kick off by 1:00pm.

Queen Judith Nzubechukwu Orisaekeziem also revealed that the official dress code for the event will be a touch of culture, while adding that admission is free of charge for everyone.

The event is sponsored by THE REACH MEDIA and powered by Office of the Special Assistant on Entertainment to the Governor of Imo State.
