Former Aviation Minister, Fani Femi-Kayode has arrived Umuahia with his wife and children to bid a final farewell to his late mother in law.
He wrote “Arrived in Umuahia last night with my wife, children and entire family for my mother-in-law’s (Mrs. Leticia Chikwendu) burial which will take place in Umuahia at 10.00am this morning.
Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu was out of town but we were given a wonderful reception at Government House by Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu and his beautiful wife Lady Vivian Ude Oko Chukwu and I am deeply touched, humbled and honored.
The people of Abia and the eastern zone are my in-laws and I really do love them. Their constant love, encouragement, support and care has strengthened and inspired me enormously and has helped to sooth the pain of losing my mother-in-law.
May God bless Abia state and N’digbo and may Mama’s soul rest in peace”.
